Software Exhibition (Theme Based)


Software Exhibition is a project showcasing event of KATHFEST. Participants need to make their projects in order to solve the burning issues of Nepal. Software exhibition provides an effective learning approach for students of all abilities. This exhibition motivates students and drives innovation, a vital requirement for any engineer or product designer. So the software exhibition is an attempt or research to apply brilliant ideas of Nepalese student in innovation software development.

Software Exhibition (Open)


Software Exhibition is a project showcasing event of KathFest. Software exhibition provides an effective approach for students and others to be familiar with the growing technical world. Working on the projects develops problem-solving skills among the students and shows them a clear picture of new and lucrative prospects available thereby a scope to explore. Showcasing the projects on the exhibition provides them exposure to the outside market. For the open software exhibition, any software projects, based on any technology, can be registered. It is a 2-days event with 25 estimated number of team participation.

Alcode


Alcode is a problem solving event of Kathfest, where participants are given a set of questions to be solved in C/C++ and the one to solve it first, will be declared the winner.

Software Hackathon


Software Hackathon is one of the pre-events of Kathfest. It is a two-day coding competition, where students come together as teams to build and design something to solve certain problems. The theme for the event will be announced before the event. Based on this theme, the teams should start with an idea, build a prototype that they should present to the jury at the end of the event. Software Hackathon lets participants to think and work under pressure, with different people and gives them an opportunity to work in a real life setting.

Manual Angry Bots


Manual Akhada is a battlebot event where manually controlled robots need to push away the opponent robot out of the arena to earn points and overcome the obstacles along the way. Weapons excluding fire and water are allowed. Specified dimension will be provided for robot size as well as the arena. Total of 20 team participation is expected.

Automatic Angry Bots


Automatic Akhada is a battlebot event where participants make automatic robots and bot is needed to push away the opponent bot out of the arena to earn points. Specified dimension will be provided for robot size as well as the arena.

Drone Racing


Drone racing is a sport event where participants control "drones" (typically small radio-controlled aircraft or quadcopters) to fly on a designed mission track. A complex, three-dimensional race course will be built for the race.
